Small things scale up and your coding skills can too

Roughly 10 months ago, I switched to a writing each workday here. Yep, except for my summer break, I write 5 days a week. That’s a lot.

Around 80.000 words if we sum that up. That’s the length of 4 guides. Woah, and all for free. Amazing.

It is also amazing that it is easier to write a smaller piece each day than to write in larger chunks. Sounds counterproductive, but it made the whole writing thing much easier. Now imagine you do that with coding. Writing a small app every single workday. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just being consistent is the key. Learning a thing, doing something different than you normally do or whatever you like.

At the end of a year, you wrote probably way over 200 apps. Let that sink in.

That’s a lot of experience you gain. I bet you will be better off in your craft at the end of the year. Try it.
