Learning Process: 3. Research

In the first two steps, you learned that a compelling reason is essential and that we must reduce the scope a lot for good progress. The next step is Research.

During the Research phase, I usually google for tutorials, books, and seldom videos (at least for coding) which cover the topics coming out of the scope phase. I spare you the list of resources now for the Swift app, and cover the theory without examples.

Besides explanations, I am more interested in code examples. Not for just copy and pasting them but for getting a grasp on the whole. Code example and trying to understand them helps me more than some fancy video explanations. Somehow my brain connects the dots faster when seeing it in code.

At the end of this phase, you will have a bunch of resources, a good grasp how things work in theory and in the next step we rpocess them in depth and build our app. So far I haven’t written any code yet. This comes also in the next phase.
